A conservative Virginian lawmakers was shocked to find out that he was outed as gay despite sending face pics on popular gay dating website Grindr.
“I really have no idea how they found out. I was being soooo discrete,” he said in an interview with CNN.
The news broke after one of his fellow Grindr users recognized him as the Republican lawmaker who voted against all pro-LGBT bills. “I mean, it was pretty easy. He sent me his picture, and I instantly knew it was him,” Carter Smith said.
But, the lawmaker is still blown away that anyone found out, citing his very cryptic Grindr profile which read, “Very discrete. Work for government. Can’t show face unless you ask for it. But let’s keep this on the DL.”
